Project Description
Land-Use and Situational Assessment of the utilities authorities (water and sewerage) in north Lebanon, including the development of a GIS for all subscribers and users of potable water in Tripoli city including suburbs (80,000 units, 350,000 residents). The main component of the study includes:
- Data Collection (Survey) of physical and geographical features of water subscribers and users in the area administered by the Water Authority of Tripoli. This task entailed the following:
- Preparation of sur vey forms
- Subdivisions and coding of survey isles and buildings
- Setting of GIS and database structure
- Data collection
- Data validation and verification
- Data entry
- Data migration to final management system (X7)
- Inventory of physical assets of the Water Authorities (Tripoli and North)
- Preparation of Data sheets
- Coding system and assets breakdown structure
- Data Collection
- Situational Assessment (diagnostic) of the Water and Sewerage Authorities in North Lebanon
- Technical : description of utilities, operations and maintenance, demand/supply assessment
- Commercial: customer base, tariff structure, demand estimation and projection, billing.
- Financial: budgeting cost accounting, financial performance indicators.
- Human resources: organizational structure, procedural rules and forms, job description, training needs assessment.
- Regulatory assessment of Sewerage Authorities
