Project Description

The project is intended to provide connection between Abu Dhabi- Dubai road and the new residential area in Al Bahia, through the construction of an interchange. The project involves the construction of diamond interchange including 2 bridges 4-spans each (15m-32.5m-32.5m-15m), 2 elevated roundabouts, 4 ramps and 1 2 x 2 lanes access ramp to Bahia, 5 service roads, 1 underpass, and retaining walls using reinforced earth system. The project also involves the protection / relocation of different service utilities.

 

The total length of road amounts to 4.5 kms - including single and dual carriageway roads.

 

The project design works included the design of roads, traffic signage including traffic gantries, road markings, post tensioned bridges with 32.5m main span, MSE walls for the ramps and access roads, reinforced concrete frame underpass, street lighting, surface drainage, and landscaping and architectural treatment of the project.
