Project Description
The Beirut Outer Ring Highway is a vital peripheral highway connecting the existing coastal southern and Northern highways and the future Beirut - Damascus Highway (Arab Highway). The part included in the contract covers 17 kms of 2x3 and 2x4 Lanes with a number of 2 lane lateral roads.
The project includes also:
- 11 interchanges of trumpet, diamond, clover leaf, and parcel configurations.
- 63 bridges and viaducts up to 400 m length with individual spans reaching 55 meters.
- Several depressed sections.
- Retaining walls and side slope protection.
- Box and pipe culverts and stormwater drainage system.
- Utility services and crossing.
- Road marking, signage, and safety installations.
Consultancy Services
Field investigations, traffic studies, topographic and geotechnical investigations, preliminary and detailed design and preparation of tender documents for implementation of works in 4 packages, two of them are under construction with the consultant supervision.
