Project Description

 

A primary highway connecting Thagret Asfour with the existing bridge on Zarqa River, forming a part of Irbid-Amman main highway.

The project is an 18 km 4-lane divided highway, with inner and outer shoulders, of 22.8 m width; and involved the following components:

• Five bridges;
• 70 m twin tunnels accommodating two-lane carriageways each;
• Retaining structures;
• Stormwater drainage;
• Pipe and box culverts;
• Traffic markings;
• Signage and safety

 

Consultancy Services

 

The engineering services included contract administration, assessment of contract documents; redesign; complete supervision, quality control and materials testing, monitoring and reporting on progress, checking and approval of payment certificates and substantial and final completion certificates.
