Project Description

 

Study within the Middle East looking at the integration of transport modes assuming the then peaceful political climate following the 1995 negotiations. Focusing specifically on Jordan, Egypt, Israel and the Palestinian Authority, the study used transport-modelling techniques (EMME/2) to evaluate the effects of removing restrictions such as border controls. In parallel with the transport model was a comprehensive economic model focusing on developing the various sectors of the economy that were likely to thrive with the removal of wartime restrictions.
