Project Description
The Masnaa - Baalbeck Motorway is the first half of the BEKAA motorway which starts at the Beirut – Damascus Motorway at Masnaa and ends at the Northern Border with Syria. This section is 50 kms long of 6-lane divided highway protected with two 2-lane lateral roads.
The project includes also:
- 7 interchanges of trumpet, diamond and cloverleaf configurations.
- 40 bridge structures for the interchanges and the crossing roads (Underpasses and overpasses).
- 3 viaduct structures of 155 to 230 m long with 33 m prestressed precast beams.
- Retaining walls and side slope protection.
- Box and pipe culverts of different sizes and stormwater drainage system.
- Utility services and crossing.
- Road marking, signage, and safety installations.
Consultancy Services
Field investigations, traffic studies, feasibility and economic studies, topographic and geotechnical investigations, detailed design and preparation of tender documents for implementation of the project with 3 packages.
