Project Description
Batroun - Tannourine Highway is a major 3-lane district Highway of 30 km length with 2-lane branches totaling 20 kms in length to connect to the major cities and villages of the district. The main highway and the connecting roads are all mountainous.
The project includes also:
- A 180 m open-excavation 13 m span tunnel with retaining walls at the approaches.
- A rigid frame bridge 12 m span.
- More than 12 kms of retaining walls ranging in height from 2 m to 12 m.
- Three kilometres of Gabions ranging in height from 2 m to 8 m.
- Box and pipe culverts, and stormwater drainage system.
- Utility services and crossing, and relocation of existing utilities
- Road marking, signage, and safety installations.
