Project Description

 

This private house assigned by the "Direction générale des antiquités", and after several years of being neglected, needed to be restored by its owners according to the restoration rules and methods.

This house of three storeys, without a tiled roof contrary to the majority of houses located in its neighborhood needed to be more integrated with the whole character of the main street.

In addition, the aims of the project included:

• Develop a strategy to restore and resolve problems like humidity, water infiltration, masonry problems and pollution, cracks….
• Update the new needs in this house by planning a functional kitchen, new bathrooms…
• Keep the overall character and the historical values of a coastal Lebanese house
