Project Description

 

The works comprises of:

• Construction of reinforced concrete potable water reservoirs of Sixty million gallons capacity each. Dimensions are 340m length, 170m width and 5.5 meters height. The reservoirs are semi buried with PVC Liner inside protection and water proofing on the buried walls and the roof.

Each reservoir is divided into 4 compartments and each compartment is subdivided into 8 cells of 42 x 42m each interconnected through wall openings. The compartments are interconnected through recirculation chambers equipped with valves.

• Construction of infrastructure including:

-        Road around the reservoirs

-        Drainage channel along the roads

-        Tiled side walks

-        Street lighting and area lighting

-        Overflow line with necessary manholes

-        Fence around the site.

• Construction of Ø 1200mm inlet and outlet line with necessary valve chambers (63 No.), flow meter chambers (12 No.), and thrust blocks.
• Modification of the existing Chlorination Building and its equipments to suit the new reservoirs.
• Modification of the Control Room and its equipment with a new SCADA System.
• Installation of a new CCTV System with cameras distributed along the site, and screens at the Control Room.
