Project Description

 

Comprehensive sewerage scheme studied for horizon year 2030 and aimed for 35 mountain villages and towns within the districts of Upper Metn and Baabda.

The scheme involved 170 km of trunk and secondary gravity sewer lines and 5 treatment plants. The project was divided into five areas with present population ranging from 6000 to 24,000 serving a total of 65,000.

The study addressed impact assessment of wastewater collection scheme on the environment of project area.

Also, it addressed the socio-environmental long-term and short-term impacts induced by the construction of collection lines and treatment plants.
