Project Description
The Southwest Beirut Collector caters for the collection of all West Beirut sewage including the sewage of the proposed new development of Elyssar. The collector starts from the Carlton area in Ras-Beirut and ends at the Ghadir treatment Works, south of Beirut.
The project comprises 7 Kms of gravity lines, and about 2 Kms of pressure lines and 2 pumping stations. The gravity lines have diameters ranging from 400 mm to 1,400 mm; the pressure lines comprise two separate systems:
the first one with a diameter of 600 mm lines and the second a twin-pipes system of 800 mm diameter each.
