Project Description

 

The project involved 2-trunk lines: one from Dbayeh to Doura Pretreatment works serving North Metn sector, and one from Manara to Doura Pretreatment works serving West Beirut sector. Project called for (17) km trunk lines, and 5 pumping stations ranging in capacities between 75 lps and 2500 lps.

The project was originally designed in 1994 and updated in 1996. The project called for sewer lining by high density polyethylene for protection against corrosion. The project involved 17km of reinforced concrete trunk lines; intensive micro-tunnelling works, for 1200 diameter and 1800 pipelines including two crossings under Beirut and Nahr El-Mout rivers, to avoid disruption to expressway traffic and 5 lift stations to avoid excessive excavations in narrow streets and also included sewage pumping stations with odor control.

 

Consultancy Services

 

The Consulting Services included design, preparation of construction drawings, tender & contract documents, bids evaluation, construction supervision and project management.
