Project Description

 

The Project involves the provision of landscaping, planting and an irrigation scheme within the boundaries of the Doha Air Base.

 

Extending over an area of about 400 hectares, the landscaping is intended to enhance the character and environment within the base. Hardscape treatments and plantings along the road network, and among and adjacent to the various facilities, are selected to blend within the overall context. Plantings including trees, shrubs, ground cover and grass chosen for compatibility with local conditions and ability to thrive under high temperatures.

 

The irrigation scheme comprises:

 

• Potable water network;
• Treated sewage effluent network;
• Pumping and storage facilities;
• Filtration, chlorination and fertilizer dozing equipment;
• Primary, secondary and tertiary distribution networks;

Automatic controllers, valves and other appurtenances

 

Consultancy Services

 

Condition survey; topographic and geotechnical investigations planning design preparation of tender and contract documents; and construction supervision.
