Project Description
Detailed physical master planning for the 182 hectares expansion of the Medical City at Khashn Al Aan in Riyadh.
The project aims at increasing the population of the Medical City from1,650 up to 8,050 thus making possible the creation of a community that is self sufficient in terms of social amenities, education and utilities. The existing Medical City has been integrated into the expanded city to form one of three housing groups.
Each of these groups contains its own Local Center and all are served by the Neighborhood Center as well as the centralized Intermediate and Secondary Schools.
In addition, the project included the following:
- Formulation and evaluation of Land-use concept plan alter natives and nomination of a preferred scheme.
- Conceptual design of all roads and circulation as well as all infrastructure networks.
- Phasing and programming of implementation schedules and packages in order to insure minimal interference with and disruption to the normal operation of the existing Medical City.
- Development of detailed Architectural and Design briefs for the major components of the project.

Conceptual and detailed Master planning, preliminary design of roads and circulation network, tendering, supervision and project management of Phase 1 implementation.
