Project Description

 

The project comprised four University Centers complete with all facilities required to train, house and cater to the educational, social and religious needs of 6,000 students at each of the four centers. These University Centers in the Wilayas of Setif, Tebessa, Bechar and Biskra form major elements in the Nation’s Education Expansion Program.

 

Each University Center incorporated academic, residential, community and service facilities including but not limited to the following:

 

• Classrooms
• Laboratories and Seminar rooms
• Amphitheaters
• Gymnasiums
• Administration Offices
• Ancillary Support Facilities such as restaurants, cafeterias, student centers, libraries, health care centers
• Residential Facilities including academic staff accommodations and student dorms
• Outdoor Recreation Facilities and Open Spaces
• All requisite infrastructure

 

Consultancy Services

 

The scope of services included master planning, technical and operational studies, conceptual and detailed designs, preparation of tender and contract document as well as supervision and project management.
