Location: Republic of Yemen Client: Yemen Investment and Development Int'l LTD Consultants: Associated Consulting Engineers (ACE) Construction Cost: 100 Million US Dollars Project Description Comprehensive transportation and traffic assessment study of Dhahran City including survey, mapping and digitization of existing facilities, superstructure and infrastructure as well as the assessment of existing circulation patterns and traffic surveys and modeling of prevailing networks for both pedestrians and vehicles. In addition the project included the following: • Traffic analysis and projection. • Forecast and modeling of anticipated growth based on alternative development policies and scenarios. • Simulation of traffic and movement patterns. • Identification of desire-lines based on origin-destination survey and analysis. • Analytical assessment of prevailing transport network problem locations and proposals for immediate and long-term remedial measures. • Detailed design of phase 1 implementation packages.
