Location: Salmaniya, Bahrain Client: Ministry of Development & Engineers Services Consultants: Associated Consulting Engineers (ACE) in Association with Page Southerland & Page - PSP Construction Cost: 85 Millions US Dollars Project Description This project entailed the master planning, conceptual design, detailed engineering, tender documentation and supervision of the execution of a 550 bed new general hospital offering all the requisite internal and external medical services as well as a nursing school. The medical complex incorporates six levels: • The first floor includes the central administration, the emergency facilities, supplies and deliveries, catering and the nursing school. • The second houses the operating and surgery theaters, the intensive care units and the psychiatric ward. • The third level includes 100 beds of the pediatric ward. • The fourth 150 beds for general surgery • The fifth 150 beds for general surgery and internal medicine. • The sixth level includes 120 beds for private patients.
