Jordan Valley Al-Fedan Dam

Location: Al Fedan Valley, Jordan Client: Ministry of Water & Irrigation - Jordan Valley Authority Consultants: Associated Consulting Engineers (ACE) in Association with Halcrow Construction Cost: 25 Millions US Dollars Project Description A major project for the Ministry of Water and Irrigation and the Jordan Valley Authority. The project incorporated the evaluation of the potential and exploitable flood water on Fiedan trough the construction of a dam at Wadi Fiedan based on technical and economical feasibility studies. The study involved the design of the main dam and subsequently the design of all associated reservoirs, irrigation distribution systems and canals. The main components of the project included: • Main Dam with a height of 37 meters • Saddle Dam • Reservoirs • Distribution networks and canals Consultancy Services Field investigations, pre- and feasibility studies, preparation of final design and tender Documents.
