Al Mashtal Residential Neighborhood

Location: Gaza Client: Palestine Real Estate Development Company Consultants: Associated Consulting Engineers Construction Cost: 16 Million US Dollars Project Description The project is a residential complex which is meant to serve the growing demand for new housing units in Gaza. The types and sizes of the housing units were selected pursuant to a Market Study and Housing Demand Indicators. Accordingly, the land use, plot sizes, dwelling unit types and sizes were determined. In general, large plots of land were selected to accommodate clusters of medium to high rise apartment block buildings allowing for internal green areas and playgrounds. The apartment sizes varied from 180 to 420 m2. In the front area overlooking the sea, three terraced buildings were designed to accommodate 235 summer residence apartments varying from 80 to 220 m2. The project is also self supporting in services. Allocation has been made for facilities such as schools, municipal buildings, mosque, commercial and sports centres. Consultancy Services The services included field investigations, master planning, conceptual and preliminary detailed design and preparation of tender documents.
