Location: Tanzania Client: Civil Aviation Authority, Tanzania Consultants: Associated Consulting Engineers (ACE) Construction Cost: 7 Million US Dollars Project Description Rehabilitation of the existing airport and design and construction supervision for the expansion of airside facilities including runways; taxiways and aprons; and airfield lighting. Planning, detailed design and construction supervision for terminal building expansion. This includes making provision for separate domestic passenger operations and aircraft parking areas. The project also incorporates upgrading of the air traffic control tower, together with Air Traffic Services building and Energy Centre, a new RADAR system and a VHF radio system. Consultancy Services Appraisal, planning and design, quantity surveying and supervision of construction for extensions of runway and airport facilities. Also supervision of services in control tower rehabilitation and extension of terminal area.
