Fiji Domestic Airports Development Project

Location: Fiji Client: Government of Fiji (financed by EU) Consultants: Associated Consulting Engineers (ACE) Construction Cost: 3 Million US Dollars Project Description Upgrading of 4 domestic airports including feasibility studies, strategic planning, preparation of alter native concepts, detailed design and construction supervision for terminal building expansion including the provision for separate domestic passenger operations and aircraft parking areas. The study incorporated the following aspects: • Demographic analysis and projection. • Forecast and modeling of anticipated growth. • Concept plan formulation. • Traffic Impact Assessment on surrounding road network. • Analytical assessment of prevailing transport network problem locations and proposals for immediate and long-term remedial measures. Consultancy Services Field investigations, demographic and traffic studies, topographic investigations, conceptual and detailed Master Planning, detailed design and supervision of construction as well as contract management and cost control.
