NADYMEG FOR KOMSOMOLSK-NA-AMURE OIL REFINERY
A review of two alternative routes for exporting 2.8 m.t.a. of refined products from the Komsomolsk Refinery. The products proposed for export are diesel, gasoline and kerosene. The alternatives are either to follow the existing crude oil line from Sakhalin and construct a new jetty and terminal at De Kastri, or adopt a new pipeline route to Vanino and construct a new storage terminal, but use the existing jetty.
NADYMEG FOR GAZPROM
The Yamal Peninsular in north western Siberia contains vast reserves of natural gas. Figures in excess of 10 Trillion Cubic Metres of proven reserves have been cited with the likelihood of probable reserves being well in excess of this. The Russian gas company Gazprom has developed plans for exploiting this huge resource by building a pipeline transmission system to carry the gas to markets in Europe. This development will be a massive undertaking which will provide a significant proportion of Russian and European energy requirements well into the next century.
